Jasmine

Little five month old Jasmine was sooo good for these photographs. She is a happy soul, bright as a button and very talkative, just like her mum! When she wasn’t fascinated by the camera or smiling at mum, she was watching the birdies out of the window.

I really like your photographic style – and you have captured the beauty of those all so precious baby moments – the smallness, those lovely big baby eyes…just beautiful!ReplyCancel

“Try Another Hat”

While virtually the whole of the rest of the British Isles was under about a foot of snow (or more), we had roughly a centimetre here in sunny Cumbria. Still, the ground was white and the low sun looked lovely so we took the opportunity…

Snow! Kendal, Cumbria

Snow at last, and plenty of it! Snowballs, lots of snowmen including a snowgiant, super-fast sledging, fun, fun, fun… until its been around for weeks and we’re sick of it!

Staveley village, Cumbria

Staveley is a great little village near Kendal in the Lake District. Its the start of the beautiful Kentmere valley; just follow signs for Kentmere village following the River Kent as it winds along the valley. If you’re ever there, make sure you visit Staveley Mill Yard, home of Wilf’s Cafe, Hawkshead Brewery, Wheelbase bike shop and More Bakery amongst other fine, tasty local businesses.

Windermere Ferry

The Windermere Ferry has been operating for over 500 years, but not this particular one! It started as a rowing boat and cuts from Ferry Nab near Bowness to Far Sawrey; a handy shortcut to Beatrix Potter’s Hill Top house at Near Sawrey. It was so chilly there were plates of ice floating on the lake looking across to the Round House on Belle Isle.
