Pre-Wedding Session Lake District with Jade and Lee
I met up with Jade and Lee at Rydal Hall in the Lake District, ahead of their wedding. It was a fun session in such beautiful surroundings and it was great that their daughter was able to come along too.

“Beautifully restored over many years, the Hall and the surrounding estate and buildings are available for individuals and groups to visit and enjoy. We have the advantage of having a large estate . This includes the restored Thomas Mawson garden. Also, over 34 acres of woodland, with a free flowing beck which produces the majestic Rydal waterfalls. These were made famous by William Wordsworth.
We welcome conference guests, families, youth groups and couples. In short, anyone looking for a tranquil retreat in one of the UK’s finest beauty spots.
We have a range of accommodation within our idyllic 34 acre site. A youth centre, campsite, self-catering cottage and three eco-pods.”
“The gardens at Rydal Hall were designed by the garden designer, Thomas Hayton Mawson in 1911. They represent a unique example of Edwardian gardening set in the breath taking landscape of the Lake District. The Italianate terracing includes fine herbaceous borders and lawns set against the imposing architecture of the Hall.
The gardens include an informal woodland garden with ponds leading to the restored Summerhouse overlooking the famous Rydal Falls. Also restored are a 19th century Game Larder and Ice House.
An early 19th century woodland path leads to the Community Vegetable Garden. It includes an orchard planted with 30 northern varieties of apple and this dates back to the 1850s. There is also a plethora of flowers and vegetables growing alongside each other.”
