While the action started for Ben and his groomsmen and I started capturing them getting ready at at the White Hart Hotel in Welwyn, the exceptional Dorset-based wedding photographer Mister Phill was simultaneously at Jo’s parent’s home photographing Jo’s preparations.
Next (after a quick stop at The Three Bells where we met up with Ben’s father) we walked up the road to the pretty St. Etheldreda’s church in Old Hatfield for Jo and Ben’s wedding ceremony. St. Etheldreda’s adjoins the grounds of Hatfield House, once the childhood home of Queen Elizabeth I. Now it was home to Jo and Ben’s wedding reception which was great fun and held in and around the beautiful red brick Tudor Old Palace and knot garden.
Congratulations to the lovely Jo and Ben; your wedding day was truly amazing. And thanks to Phill, Ben’s best man Gavin and the groomsmen and of course Jo and Ben for such a brilliant day.
WOW! Great shots – what a great setting too! I’ve seen a lot of wedding photography over the years but your stuff is fantastic and just that little bit different, very artistic!
Killer venue. Love the way you told the story of the day. And grandma’s hat is rad!!!
What a lovely wedding. I love the shot of the bride glancing over at the groom during the ceremony and the portraits in the flowers. Great portfolio.
