Hipping Hall Wedding.

“Thank you for everything, the pictures are really great. We really appreciate it! Nick and Becky”

Nick and Becky got married at the beautiful Hipping Hall in the Yorkshire Dales. It was a such a beautifully, intimate wedding uniting Becky and Nick’s families and friends from far flung places like Michigan, France, Cumbria as well as good old Yorkshire. It was such a pleasure to be a part of their special day.

Hipping Hall – “Hipping Hall takes its name from the Hipping, or stepping, Stones that crossed Broken Beck (the little stream that runs past the wash house). The stones allowed travellers across the road that has for a long time been an important artery between the West coast of England and the cities of Leeds and York.

One enterprising individual saw this opportunity. So Hipping Hall was for a long time a Blacksmiths and maybe even provided sustenance and accommodation to those wanting to break up their journey. In the early 17th Century the owner of the Hall, an Edward Tatham married the daughter of a local lawyer from Dent and became gentry in a generation, building the Hall and creating his legacy in the process.”
